One week plus.......

               As you can see in the pictures, this is a very consistent litter.  All of the puppies have doubled their birth weight or more, and are sleeping with full bellies most of the time.  I couldn't have asked for a better mother, and nice babies!  I am very pleased with them all. 
                There are 3 red females, 1 black/tan male, and 3 red males.  If you are interested in buying a puppy, please contact me @ vwisner@juno.com
                 The grandsire of this litter, Lukas, is the top winning GP of all time, with two Group 1's, and will finish at or near the top of the standings for the third year in a row.  The litter brother of the dam, Max, just won Best In Specialty Show (BISS)--that is our GPCA national specialty!  Of course both of the parents are AKC Champions, owner handled by me.  There is a lot of information about the breed at the GPCA website, too.

One week already!

        It has been a week already since the puppies were born.  They are all fine and growing well.  They spend a LOT of time nursing, good thing Dash is a patient mom.  A lot of family and friends have stopped by to see them, I will have them come back when they are old enough to be playful.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Another busy day.......

         This was another busy day at our house.  Lots of nursing by the puppies, and Dash went out for a run, too.  She needed the fresh air, excercise, and a few minutes away from the hungry mob!  It was a beautiful sunny day, in the 70's, so we enjoyed it.  These fall days are to be treasured.  Hope all is well with your world. 

More visitors

       We had more visitors to see the litter today.  My 5yo nephew and neighbor boy came over.  They held the puppies, with Dash watching them carefully.   She didn't seem to be too disturbed, by them or the other visitors that were here earlier.  So we are getting lots of nice reviews, that they are cute, and fat, and seem happy.  I took a rare pic of the puppies only while mom ate her dinner tonight, I will post it tomorrow.  For now it is time for bed! 

All is well

        All is well with the new litter.  All of the puppies have gained several ounces today........hard to believe they wouldn't since all they do is nurse!  Dash is a really good mother, keeping them nice and clean, staying with them all the time, and making sure they are all close.  There always seems to be one in between her front legs.  She is such a sweet dog, she has been visited by family and strangers, and allows her babies to be handled, but she is very watchful.  We are taking lots of pictures, too.  I will post a couple of puppy ones, too. 

Puppies are here!

       Dash is a very sweet mama of 3 boys and 4 girls, all red except one black boy.  She sure is attentive to them, and knew just what to do.....all I had to do was watch and yawn. She had the first one at about 3am, the last one at 7am----now we are all going to rest for a while.

Puppies are here!

So far four puppies!  Dash seems to be an excellent mama, didn't need any help at all so far.  Pictures will be posted later today!

one fat mama!

       She is getting fatter every day!  Looks like another day or two or three.........I will take a picture later today, but have promised shopping for clothes for the teenaged girl in my life.  If anyone needs to contact me privately, my emai is vwisner@juno.com
